Realtors Charitable Foundation

The Realtors Charitable Foundation (RCF), a 501(c) (3) charitable organization was established in January, 2001. RCF’s Mission  Statemenr:

Tthe collective heart of Rochester’s real estate professionals, addressing critical housing needs and creating sustainable neighborhoods.

Since its inception, RCF has made grants of over $386,600 and 33 not-for-profit organizations, including Bishop Sheen Ecumenical Housing Foundation (emergency home repair program); Dimitri House; Habitat for Humanity of Ontario County (house in Honeoye), Hillside Children’s Center, Wilson Commencement Park, The Rochester Fire Department (thousands of smoke detectors distributed), Family Service of Rochester, inc., Sojourner House, East House, Corn Hill Neighbors Association, Center for Youth, YWCA, Mercy Residential Services, and the new Ronald McDonald "House Within a Hospital" atop Golisano Children's Hospital, only the third such facility in the world.

Owning a home gives people a compelling reason to care about the community in which they live. RCF seeks to create wider access to home-ownership and real estate, provide education about home-ownership, help preserve property and property values, and partner with other agencies and organizations to address housing-related issues.

The REALTORS® Charitable Foundation (RCF) entered into a partnership with NeighborWorks® Rochester in 2008, adopting a small target area, in support of the Healthy Blocks initiative in the North Winton Village neighborhood.
