Q: How do I use AskGRAR?
A: Simply call or text 585-565-5797 ask your question or describe your task, and AskGRAR will provide the information or assistance you need.
Q: Is AskGRAR replacing our member support team?
A: No, AskGRAR is not meant to replace our fantastic member support team. You can still reach a person during business hours by calling 585-292-5000 or telling AskGRAR that you want to talk to a person – you will be transferred to Member Services.
Q: Can I ask complex or multipart questions?
A: Yes, AskGRAR is designed to handle complex or multipart questions. It’s not like the chatbots you’ve used on other websites.
Q: What should I do if I know the answer I got is not correct or if it didn’t really answer my question?
A: Please let us know if you encounter any strange or incorrect answers. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us improve and refine AskGRAR.
Please remember that AskGRAR is a computer and, while it is highly advanced, it is not perfect. Your input will be invaluable in helping us improve and refine this tool.
While you can ask anything you want, you will get the most useful information if you stick to things that you know you could otherwise learn by accessing the member portal, searching GRAR.org or calling Member Services.
The more specific you make your question, the happier you will be with the answer you get. If you’ve used any of the ChatGPT or similar tools recently, you have probably learned that context matters. If you’re an agent asking a question, say, “I’m an agent”. If you are asking a question about renewal requirements, say, “I’m a current member” or “I’m renewing my license”, then ask the question. Do that in the same message (or conversation if you are calling AskGRAR), not as follow up messages.
Example questions:
- How much are GRAR dues for this year?
- How do I add a listing to matrix
- How do I file an ethics complaint?
- When is the ReBoot conference and how much are tickets?
- I’m a current member, what CE courses do I need to renew my license?
To ensure that we do not provide access to your personal information to others, AskGRAR cannot answer personal questions about you. For example, if you asked, “when is my license renewal?” Ardi will not be able to provide you with an answer. In the future we may be able to include identity verification, but that is not available right now.
We are excited to bring this cutting-edge technology to you and look forward to your feedback. Please remember that AskGRAR is a computer and, while it is highly advanced, it is not perfect. Your input will be invaluable in helping us improve and refine this tool.
This is brand new and yes, it’s a computer AI. So, there may be kinks and things to fix. Please let us know if you see any weird answers. None of our staff are going away, and this is not meant to replace the fantastic Member Support Team that you know and love. You can still always reach a person during business hours by calling 585-292-5000, or just tell AskGRAR that you want to talk to a person and you will be transferred to member services.
- Be Specific
- Give context
- Tell Ardi you’re a current member if you’re asking about membership dues, or CE requirements, if you are a member.
- If you’re a broker, say that
- Use Negations or Affirmations
- For example “don’t” to negate an idea
“How much are GRAR dues for current members, don’t include NAR or NYSAR dues”
- Provide examples
- If you want a table of required CE courses for license renewal you could ask:
“Create a table of the NY state required CE courses for real estate sales person license renewal. Format it like this – Course Name | CEUs | Price”
